Post subject: ALERT: Labor Day Weekend Delay |

Just got word from the council, and Camp will be closed Friday into Saturday because of the expected tropical storm/hurricane conditions. Myles Standish will also be closed during that time frame.
Barring excessive damage from the storm, the current plan is for camp to open at noon on Saturday, and to run through to the usual end time on Monday. If there are changes to that plan, we'll post the information at:

Plymouth Emergency Management has contacted us asking about our plans for the weekend. Apparently Myles Standish has decided to close the forest.
In light of that decision and given the uncertainly of the weather forecast we’ve decided to delay the start of the Alumni Weekend until Saturday at Noon. Based on the current forecast the storm will have passed by then. Assuming there is no serious storm damage at camp we can go ahead with the program Saturday at Noon. We’ve communicated this information to Plymouth Emergency Management.
I’ll ask Karrie to notify us if we need to cancel the entire weekend due to storm damage.
