This forum is about tracking down old acquaintances. Because these things can take time, the posts in this forum will expire a lot more slowly than in other forums.
I would suggest putting the name of the person you're looking for in the subject of your post, or, if you don't know it, the position that person held (scout executive, waterfront director, scoutcraft counselor, etc.). A troop number or a year might help, if you can remember that much.
I'd put additional details in the text of the post itself.
Hopefully, this will help people skim this forum a little more easily.
For example, you might title the post "Who was the Waterfront Director in 1984?" In the text, you'd write something like:
Quote: | I'm trying to remember who the Waterfront Director was at Cachalot back in '84. I got my Lifesaving merit badge from him, and I think that was the toughest thing I've ever had to do in the water. Anyone remember his name? I think he was from New Bedford. |
