I'd like to thank all the people who made this past weekend so great. I'd like to see more of everybody. (I don't mean you should gain weight or anything). I had a great time and it was good to be at camp. Brian and I were talking about being at camp and how camp is the people who are there and that we could have have "camp" anyplace. Now I have worked at other camps and there is something about cachalot. We came up with the conclusion that camp is 65% people and 35% the camp itself. There is magic about cachalot. Since I have been going there since I was born I did not realize it until I had spent time away....
Anyway thanks again.

Hear, hear!
My family and I had a fantastic time this weekend as well -- it's always good to see so many old friends! This was my twins' first time camping, ever, and they loved it.
I'd also like to thank everyone who pitched in with getting the waterfront tower re-stained, whether that meant slinging a paintbrush or keeping the kids occupied so that others could get the work done. I think the building looks a heck of a lot better than it did beforehand.
Already looking forward to the next time! Maybe all that charcoal that soaks into your ankles walking around "out there" is a little addictive... _________________ Dennis

Yup I'd have to agree.. doesn't it always seem like "camp" whenever we all get together regardless of where we are?
Oh, I have to second Dennis's comment that the waterfront tower looks great. I didn't even realize how shabby it looked until I saw the before/after difference. I have some before and "almost" after picts that I'll post in the next day or so. I forgot to take a couple of more picts after it was 100% complete.. Dave did you get a chance to take any?

Cool pictures; the kids liked the one of the kite they were flying.
I took some panorama shots of the lake, thinking I'd stitch them together in Photoshop.....unfortunately, I failed miserably (never have gotten that to work right). |

Hey Tom,
There is a really cool auto-stitch program out there that you just feed the picts into and it does the pano for you... I'll see if I can dig up the name.
Oh, I have some picts of your kids flying the kite.. nothing great (mostly them running away from me) but PM me with your email address (I really have remember where I write all my email addresses down) and I'll send them to you. |
