Hi. As some or none of you know, I am the current Dining Hall Steward for Cachalot. I first started in 04, then again in 05, and hopefully once more in 06. While I was looking at the 'Cachalot History' page on this website, I found a person by the name of "David Young", who was the steward for three years in a row! He's the only other person i've heard of that has done steward for more than at least 1 year. Well if anybody can help locate him, it would be much appreciated. |

In addition to being on staff with David (and his brothers), he was in the same Troop as I was. I haven't seen him in several years, though. I'm not 100% certain David was Dining Hall Steward for 3 years -- it might only have been 2, which is why there's a question mark next to his job title in '90.
Last I knew, David and his family were living in New Bedford, somewhere in the vicinity of Buttonwood Park.
Dining Hall Steward was almost a family gig for the Young boys -- his older brother, Darren, was Steward in '86 and '87. _________________ Dennis

Dave was or will be getting married. I don't know to who but I do know that Robbie R. was the best man. So he is still in the area. John Maciel might be able to get a hold of him. I think John is taking oR took the pictures of the wedding... anyway my .02$ _________________ Do or do not there is no try.... Yoda |

I thought David had been married for some time now. You're not thinking of Brian, the Youngest Young? Someone (Brian B.?) mentioned that he had recently married. _________________ Dennis

Nope I'm thinking of Dave. Brian got his info from the same source. John. I just thought it was interesting that Robbie was his best man. I did not know that Robbie hung aroung with Dave. So I think John is on here somewhere many send him a message _________________ Do or do not there is no try.... Yoda |

Hey George, it took awhile but you found me I was Steward for 2 years in a row, not 3. The other year (the first one) I was in Handicrafts. I would've loved to do another year in the kitchen but the Army called |
