When I was at camp this past week with the troop, I spent some time in the dining hall looking at plaques. Two of them caught my eye - both in the name of Prescott Hall.
I remembered the Cachaletter article about the confusion over the name. Thought it would be neat to share these two photos - seems there was some confusion in the 60s, too!
I'll leave the photos on the host for a while in case anyone wants to save them. If I had thought about it before the end of the week, I would've tried taking pictures of more plaques (with better focus!). I took pictures of all our troop's last year, which worked out well since one was missing from its usual home this year. _________________ Mike |

I'm sure the bronze "Prescott Hall" plaque was probably put up on Cachalot's dining hall not long after it was removed from the one at Camp Warren (a.k.a. Camp Rock-o-Dundee), so I guess I'm not surprised to find plaques with the name. All of this does make me wonder if there might have been some intentional naming of the building at some point, transferring the honor from camp to camp, but I've found nothing in the records I've gone through to suggest that.
Thanks for the pics, Mike. If you'd like, I can put copies of them here on cachalotalumni.org and redirect your post to those copies, so you can free up your own hosting space. Let me know. _________________ Dennis
