Hope everyone is off to a great start in this New Year!
This past weekend, a number of alumni, including Duane Houghton, Fred Barreiros, Bill Begin, Tim Connick, Jesse Roderiques, Vic Sylvia, and Darin Young assembled the main structure of the Wall of Fame, just in time for the folks who’ll be at this coming weekend’s Klondike Derby to see what we’ve been up to. I’ve added some of Duane’s photos to our Wall of Fame construction gallery here. Check them out! We’re still in need of additional donations so that we can purchase the remaining blocks that will be installed once the weather warms up, material to cover the surfaces of the terraces, and plaques for the Wall of Fame itself, so if you can, please hit the donation link on our Wall of Fame and contribute. Every little bit helps, and donations are tax-deductible.
Several of us will be out at the Klondike to run the warming station again this year. If you’ll be out at the Klondike, be sure to stop by and see us for some coffee or hot cocoa, and then head on over and check out the Wall of Fame.
Finally, don’t forget that the Winter Gathering is right around the corner, on Saturday, January 28th. All the information is right here. We’ll be talking about Klondike Derbies past & present, and we hope you’ll be able to join us for the day.
