I'll be there with the family. Not sure if I'll make it out Friday night or Saturday morning, but I think I might head out Friday and get set up, and let the family meet me there Saturday. _________________ Dennis

I'll definitely be there on Friday night and the family will join me on Sat morning.
Anyone wanting to attend the weekend please call me and let me know so we will be prepared with tent sites for you.

I will not be able to attend due to prior commitments. But I do have a question. I have asked some of the gentlemen that came to camp with me the past summer if they would be going or if they had attended the event at Smith Mills they said they knew nothing about these events even though they had joined the alummi associiation, they have heard nothing from that organization since the joined at the timed they had gotten there tickets for the reunion, at the scout store at the mall. |

(I'll be following up via email as well, since I don't know how often you visit the forum)
I apologize -- I don't remember everyone who came with you last summer, but I did verify that yourself, Paul Doucette, and Bob LeComte have been listed as active members for this year, and that all 3 would have been mailed 2 issues of our newsletter as well as membership cards. The most recent newsletter was mailed within the last few weeks, and membership cards were late this year, but did go out in March. The first newsletter went out in the fall and contained information on the event at Smith Mills.
I'd appreciate it if you would drop me email (the webmaestro@cachalotalumni.org address is fine for this) and remind me of everyone who attended with you, so I can make sure we didn't lose track of anyone and so that I can double-check the contact information we have. I'm not aware of any membership cards or newsletters being returned as undeliverable.
I'd like to clear this up as soon as possible. I'd hate to think that we've lost track of anyone who has joined, but if we did, I'd like to figure out how so we can both make it right and make sure that it doesn't happen again. _________________ Dennis

What is the plan for the weekend? I am thinking that I will get there on Sat. morning instead of Fri night. _________________ Do or do not there is no try.... Yoda |

Still pretty much what's described here:
http://www.cachalotalumni.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=137
I'm taking the day off on Friday and will be headed out late afternoon, with the rest of the family meeting me out there Saturday morning. We've got a few service projects that we'll be looking for help with, and there's a loose, optional program (stuff to keep the kids busy, plus a kid-friendly movie night) for those who want to participate. _________________ Dennis

I don't remember the exact agenda, but I think the way that Tom is trying to schedule things is to work on both days, but for shorter "shifts".
Last Memorial Day weekend we spent a little more time on the work side than we did at Labor day, but then again, there were fewer families present and more people just out for the day. _________________ Dennis

...Or rather I should say work, play, play, play.
I want to make sure that we are able to make a difference at Camp this weekend, but it is very important to me that we also have a great time.
I have a package for everyone attending the weekend. So far I have the following people listed:
Barreiros
Bastarache
Bednarz
DeGrace
Goldrick
Houghton
Leandre
Sylvia
Whelan
Wilkinson
Unconfirmed are:
Ashworth
Patricio
In the package is the agenda for the weekend (not mandatory by any means), a welcome letter, and a rules list. If we all hit the projects on Sat morning I think we should be able to finish by Sat night. Although, we may have a special project that we will need help with. The main focus of the weekend is to have FUN! _________________ Tom Whelan
